THE NEXT JOURNEY

When it’s all over what will I see
A golden hummingbird smiling at me?
When the clock has stopped
My cup filled with that last water drop;
As I’ve finished that glass of wine
And the sun no longer shines;
When I don’t have to take another pill
And all sound becomes still;
Inhaling my last breath
On the journey to my death;
To who will I cling
What songs will I sing?
Standing in the middle of a fish pond
To the next journey and beyond;
I will no longer have the desire to roam
As my God has called me home.

THE ROAR

In the vast sky
So unreachable and high;
Where the birds roam
Have no steady home;
The Angels sing
As they tap the harp string;
You can’t escape
What lies in wait
It depends on your conduct and fate;
Hear the thunderous roar from the clouds
Could that be your Creator voicing his disapproval out loud?

A MAN CALLED YOU

In Daddy’s world
There’s a Daddy’s girl;
Without a hunch
The favorite of the bunch;
It’s hard to understand
Her admiration for this man;
Even though no one told me
I can see she’s this man’s one and only;
An aging human
As she becomes a woman;
She finds that Daddy Clone
To share her life and home;
So be careful Fathers
How you treat your Daughters;
For you haven’t a clue
They will search for that man called You.

INTERPRETATION

Self defense
Casual violence;
Shooting up the school
The misguided fool;
Correct your obligations
The Phantom situations;
Not morally right
The human mind twists in plain sight;
Interpretation
Distorted imagination;
Corruption is automatically acceptable
Misrepresentation openly susceptible;
Following the Monkey See Monkey Do Effect
Who are you trying to protect?
This world has turned into figments of our imagination
Just what are we leaving for our future generations?

FRUIT OFF THE VINE

Rope and twine
Angelic chimes;
There are no words in the common dictionary
For the thoughts we carry;
Day in and day out points accrued
The affect of why me and not you;
Unforgiven anger
Quite often occurs;
No contentment
To hate and resentment;
Busy looking at others and their situations
When we should be concentrating on our own foundation;
How you respond to your position in this lifetime
Will determine the type of fruit you eat off the vine.

YE ROYAL HIGHNESS

Repeated offenders
Never to admit or surrender;
Assaults and theft in full force
Narcotics for sale, of course
No remorse;
The common street thug
Criminal secrets shoved under the rug;
Sticky hands
Sinister plans;
It’s quite lame
Although they play that masculine game
Dozens of offspring which they cannot financially maintain
Some don’t even know their names;
A back and forth female pinball
To be their servant when they call;
Making a living off of the working class
Instead of paving their own path;
Dysfunction at its finest
Yet they insist on being treated like Ye Royal Highness.

DO YOU COMPREHEND?

At day break
Repeated heartache;
As they directed our path
When we were knee deep in mischievous wrath;
So many times we never understood
When they told us that our youthful decision were no good;
The lessons on consequences and respect
Their demands for us to family connect;
Honest emotion
Heartfelt devotion;
Now an adult
Not residing in that teenage clicky cult;
Grown
And on your own;
In your children do you feel the pain
Are they about to drive you insane?
It was not pretend
The clear messages our Mom and Dad send
Now do you comprehend?

HILARIOUS AUDIO

Back in my day there was no ADHD
The Strap of Education was treatment for me;
In an era that’s strange
Priorities have changed;
Parents are too busy in their private cubicle
With business as usual;
Nowhere to child teach
Or psychologically reach;
Children then become incorrigible
Therefore incurable;
Inherit attitudes that no one cares to debate
Nor a necessity to tolerate;
No adherence to your commands
For they are too busy making their own demands;
It is much hilarious audio
When Mom chuckles and gives a weak, “No;”
There is no patience for kids nowadays
For the majority of them are self-raised.
