MENTAL EYE

Worldly hurries
Institute health worries;
The chains to the past and present
Of all uncomfortable life events;
The should I or shouldn’t I’s
The hows and the whys
In your mental eye it just doesn’t fly;
The potential problem leaves you frayed
Feels like your heart just took a blade;
What is the resolution?
Just one conclusion;
If your mind is not well
Your overall body can surely tell.

EJECT

Conversations
Reservations;
Human action
Can easily end in subtraction;
If dishonor is what you get
Draw the line and rule set;
Accept or not accept?
Self protect
Immediately eject;
If you allow yourself to be screwed
Shame on you;
If I continue to hang out by that same old poisonous tree
Then shame on Me.

A SOMBER PHENOMENON

A crisscrossing freeway on my face
Feels like I’m taking up space;
By the double
I’m nothing but trouble;
I can’t remember
Whether we’re in the month of September or November;
I’m taken out of my home
I can’t walk alone;
To look in the mirror I can’t bear
Don’t care to comb my snowflake colored hair;
No new life leasing
The strength in my bones is decreasing;
No more hustle and bustle
In these deteriorated muscles;
My mind often regresses back to those younger years
As my eyes wallow with tears;
No empathy
Only insult to injury;
A somber phenomenon
All youth is gone.

WHO’S ENTITLED?

To make a legitimate claim
That respect for a mature person is lame;
Equals frustration
Intentional misguided information;
Disrespect
Ignorance, I suspect;
The younger population
Has no inclination;
How much the generations before them
Went out on a limb;
So they may enjoy the finer things
Of what this life brings;
To secure their tomorrows
It is a hopeless sorrow;
Too much negativity they vomit
Although when it comes to the harvest, they’re on it;
Like a horse, fasten your muzzle in the form of a bridle
Please tell me just who’s entitled?

THE LOST AND FOUND

What do you do when you can’t give anymore?
When you’ve got empty pockets at the Five and Ten Store;
As you are doing the best that you can
You have nowhere left to stand;
To change things you haven’t the gumption
As you’ve exhausted all of your options;
Take two blinks
Think
Work out all the kinks;
When you least expect one
Answers will come;
Take a deep breath and pick yourself up off the ground
Recover your answers in the Lost  and Found
For this world will continue going round and round.

LOOK AHEAD

The former conquest
Relationships that have left;
Disgruntled resentment
A handful of arguements
For a petty disagreement;
Until today I cannot recall
The reason for the Empire fall;
Never over your shoulder, but straight ahead
Follow that unraveling thread;
Don’t try to repair
Situations that are no longer there;
Don’t wake a sleeping Mastiff Dog
Keep your hands off a warted frog;
Don’t shed tears over spilled milk
Nor that torn blouse made of silk;
No reason to cry for what didn’t last
For you can’t fix the past.

LIFE’S FOUNDATION

Not sending that child to school
Don’t be a fool
That’s not cool;
Education
Is life’s foundation;
If you can’t read
You will not succeed;
Knowledge of geographical borders
The combination of numerical order;
Unable to solve a simple equation by numbers
Makes you stop and wonder;
Why would you hinder your own child
Disrupt her path at every driven mile?
Keeping her home to do your job
She is being humanly robbed;
Humanoids of self serving qualities
Will never allow their babes to be all they want to be.

DESTINATION MATURE

Clubbing
Four wheel V-Dubbing;
Up until the crack of dawn
Practicing your moves to the hip hop rap songs;
Hit and run pillow talk
Your precious time clock;
Tight skin
Hard body thin;
Then we hit a snag
Life becomes a drag
Those saggy eye bags;
The Bingo wings
That loss of elasticity thing;
It’s not so engaging
It’s called aging;
To some the idea may smell like manure
In reality it’s Destination Mature.

OUTSPOKEN

You like my new high dollar red dress?
Yes, it looks like a hot mess;
Like a skunk, black and white
That hair, oh what a fright!
I spent hours on this pretty face
A crazy shame, that time was a major waste!
Individuals that surround us
Over exaggerate in negative fuss;
As they are people dealing
They disregard others feelings;
I shed childhood tears
For this was done to me for many years;
Therefore, think before you tweet
Be kind in all that you speak;
If you embody this conduct you deserve an old wooded token
For being so inconsiderately outspoken.
