Parents don’t clip your children’s wings
With personal agenda schemes
Erasing their inner dreams;
Don’t stunt their growth
Psychologically and physical both;
Your overprotection
Will only cause parent/child rejection;
Parental punishment
That hinders growth and adult establishment;
Why would you set your off spring up to fail
Taking away their eyes and making them read in brail?
You had your own chance
To advance;
Don’t sabotage or hack
Step back!
Before you become old and grey
Accept that you’ve lived life your own way;
Whether their vision be a Cobbler, a Seamstress, or a Tailor
Don’t set your babes up for failure.
